A fixed-scope, 5-day assessment of your AWS environment covering five key pillars: security, cost, reliability, performance, and operational excellence. We identify risks, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities, all with clear, actionable next steps.

This Accelerator is ideal for engineering leaders, DevOps teams, architects, and FinOps owners looking to get a structured, expert-led review of their AWS architecture. It’s especially useful before scaling, replatforming, or optimising spend.

We follow the AWS Well-Architected Framework, enhanced with Critical Cloud’s operational standards. You’ll receive a findings summary, 3–5 cost-saving opportunities, key risks to address, and a recommended remediation plan tailored to your environment.

You’ll receive:

1. Executive Summary Report: high-level findings across the five pillars.

2. Top 3–5 Risks or Opportunities: prioritised list of issues.

3. Cost-Saving Opportunities: concrete, realistic savings backed by usage data.

4. Remediation Plan: next steps for each recommendation.

5. Follow-up Option: you can use our engineering team to implement fixes if needed.

1. Security: IAM policies, GuardDuty, security groups, S3 access, encryption.

2. Cost: Idle or oversized resources, storage tiering, Savings Plans.

3. Reliability: Backup, DR readiness, multi-AZ architecture.

4. Performance: Auto Scaling, load balancers, cache tuning.

5. Ops Excellence: Monitoring (CloudWatch), tagging, update and pipeline health.

From the time we receive access, we complete the full review and deliver your results in 5 business days. It’s a focused, time-boxed engagement.

The entire engagement is delivered for a flat fee of £4,000. No hidden costs. Multi-account reviews or deep-dive add-ons can be scoped separately.

We require temporary, read-only access via IAM. This allows us to assess configuration, usage, and architecture without making any changes to your environment.
