Critical Cloud joins OVHcloud Startup Program to accelerate sovereign runtime assurance platform

Critical Cloud has been accepted into the OVHcloud Startup Program, supporting the development of its agentic runtime assurance platform for regulated and sovereign cloud environments.

OVHcloud Sovereign cloud Managed Runtime Assurance Datadog EMEA

Critical Cloud has joined the OVHcloud Startup Program, gaining access to cloud infrastructure credits, technical support and the OVHcloud startup ecosystem as it accelerates development of its internal platform for managed runtime assurance.

The programme will support Critical Cloud as it builds out the operating layer behind its cloud support, observability and incident response services, with a particular focus on regulated organisations, sovereign cloud requirements and European cloud operations.

Critical Cloud is already positioned as the world's first Powered by Datadog accredited MSP and a Datadog Advanced Partner, supporting customers across AWS, Azure and modern application platforms. Its UK and Ireland operations are live, with expansion across EMEA underway.

The next stage of the company's roadmap is focused on building the software layer that helps Critical Cloud operate at scale: customer onboarding, operational context capture, service scope, obligations, runbooks, evidence, governance, escalation and delivery workflows.

This platform is not a Datadog replacement. Datadog remains the observability and runtime intelligence layer. Critical Cloud's platform is the managed service operating layer around it, enabling consistent delivery, stronger governance and better operational assurance across multiple customers and environments.

Why OVHcloud matters

As cloud sovereignty becomes a board-level issue across Europe, organisations in regulated industries are increasingly asking deeper questions about data control, operational resilience, cloud jurisdiction, auditability and vendor dependency.

For Critical Cloud, OVHcloud is highly relevant to this shift. Its European cloud footprint and sovereign cloud positioning make it a strong fit for Critical Cloud's roadmap as the company develops services for customers that need cloud operations aligned to regulation, resilience and control.

OVHcloud's public cloud also spans a growing portfolio of AI and GPU infrastructure, including Cloud GPU instances built for training and inference and a suite of AI and machine learning services. This gives Critical Cloud a European substrate for AI-era and GPU-intensive workloads, aligned to the same sovereignty, resilience and control requirements its customers care about.

This includes sectors such as fintech, healthtech, regtech, SaaS, public-sector-adjacent suppliers and other organisations where cloud support is no longer just about uptime. It is about assurance.

Supporting the runtime assurance roadmap

Critical Cloud is building towards a managed runtime assurance model that combines:

  • observability and runtime telemetry through Datadog
  • senior cloud engineering and incident response
  • structured onboarding and service governance
  • compliance evidence and operational reporting
  • runbooks, escalation paths and customer-specific obligations
  • AI-assisted investigation and workflow automation
  • sovereign and regulated cloud operating models

The OVHcloud Startup Program will help Critical Cloud test, develop and validate platform components in a European cloud environment, supporting the company's ambition to serve customers with more demanding sovereignty, resilience and compliance requirements.

“Joining the OVHcloud Startup Program is an important step for Critical Cloud. We are building the operating layer for managed runtime assurance, focused on helping organisations run critical cloud systems with greater resilience, control and confidence.”

“Datadog gives us a world-class observability foundation. Our platform adds the managed service operating layer around it: onboarding, governance, runbooks, obligations, evidence and delivery workflows.”

“OVHcloud is highly relevant to our roadmap because sovereign cloud is becoming a serious requirement for regulated and data-sensitive organisations across Europe. This support helps us accelerate the platform work needed to serve that market properly.”
